Covenant and our members also regularly participate in:
- Volunteers in Mission [umvim.org] -- A United Methodist Church program that sends capable people to all corners of the globe to help those in need, whether from disaster or economic limitations.
- Summer work camps, like The Pittsburg Project [pittsburghproject.org]-- Covenant's youth experience the joy of helping people by renovating inner-city homes.
- Christ House -- teams from Covenant serve breakfast each week to homeless men and women recovering from a variety of medical problems.
- Christmas giving for children -- Covenant helps brighten Christmas for over 100 children through the Salvation Army's Angel Tree program, and our own Christmas Families program.
- McKenna's Wagon [marthastable.org] -- Covenant members serve food to the homeless through this downtown D.C. ministry. Coveant children make sandwiches for this ministry during Sunday School on the first Sunday of each month.
- Secret Shop -- annual event that offers the opportunity for craft-minded volunteers to make small gifts that are purchased by the children of the church for their family and friends. The money is used for mission projects.

United Methodist Disaster Relief
2009-2010 has once again been an overwhelming period for worldwide catastrophe, and you may be feeling a little overwhelmed yourself by the barrage of media coverage. But the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) still needs your help to fund or participate in relief efforts. Please take a few moments to visit UMCOR's website and consider helping financially, personally or spiritually in one of their many ongoing relief efforts:
