    • September 1 – Called to Do a New Thing
We consider how we as a church are "Called to Do a New Thing" as we ponder the words of Isaiah 43:16-21.
    • August 25 – Please Come Home
We look at the story of the Prodigal Son and what it means to come home. I was blessed to purchase this beautiful quilt, Coming Home, quilted by Ana Leonor Sumner, at the Sacred Threads quilt show. This art quilt was inspired by Jane Hooper's poem Please Come Home.
    • August 18 – Unity in Diversity
We talk about Ephesians 4:1-16 and our call to "Unity in Diversity". I believe this topic is exceedingly important in our divisive world and my hope/prayer is that we can explore concrete ways in which we are called to invite others in and be agents of reconciliation rather than agents of conflict.
    • August 11 – Rooted in Love
We begin our Reflections on Faith sermon series talking about Paul's beautiful and powerful prayer in Ephesians 3:14-21 and take a look at what it means to be "Rooted in Love". You are invited to pray this prayer (NRSV) for the next 30 days.
For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth takes its name. I pray that, according to the riches of his glory, he may grant that you may be strengthened in your inner being with power through his Spirit, and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, as you are being rooted and grounded in love. I pray that you may have the power to comprehend, with all the saints, what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to him who by the power at work within us is able to accomplish abundantly far more than all we can ask or imagine, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
