Open Hearts. Open Minds. Open Doors.

Childrens' Ministry

Passing on your faith to our little ones is important at our church. We believe that God will work in God's time in the hearts and minds of these children.  From the moment of birth, your child becomes an important part of our church family. We are committed to being a faith community that surrounds you and your child with love, care, nurture and hope. We pray you will find many opportunities for your child to grow in their spiritual journey here at Covenant United Methodist Church.

Several times each year, Children’s Ministries sponsors special events for families:

  •  September: Blessing of the Backpacks, Church Family Picnic
  •  October:  Pasta Pandemonium/Door to Door Treating
  •  November: Hanging of the Greens
  •  December: Secret Shop, Christmas Eve Children's Pageant
  •  Easter: Easter Egg Hunt
  • July: Vacation Bible School

There are many opportunities on Sunday for our children to feel a part of God's family:

  • Every Sunday we take a few minutes in our worship to allow the children a special time with a pastor or layperson at the front of the church.  This communicates how important they are to us and to God!
  • During Sunday School, children participate in making sandwiches for McKenna's Wagon on the first Sunday of each month. During the offertory, children present this gifts at the altar.
  • Kids Choir meets on the first and third Sunday of the month at 10:00 AM in classroom 4. Kids Choir sings at the 10 AM service once a month.
  • Sunday School meets weekly during the 10:00 AM service.  For more information on our Sunday School, chick here
